LMR Service Provider
In 2014, North Sight Communications, Inc. deployed an Interoperable P-25 Trunked Simulcast Radio Network from Tait Communications. The network utilizes P-25 Open Standards recommended by organizations such as SAFECOM , the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials International (APCO), the National Association of State Telecommunications Directors (NASTD), Federal agencies and the National Communications System (NCS).
NSC’s network follows DHS’s Open Standard requirements which allows agencies the opportunity to buy/use P25 CAP certified radios from multiple manufactures that best fit their personnel in the field and operations (Ex. Tait, Harris, EF Johnson, Motorola, Kenwood, Relm, Icom and others). We know from experience that providing the customer with choices, when purchasing radios, will in return show them real savings by driving competition and lowering prices, while enabling full interoperable communications capabilities.
Additionally, NSC’s network support Inter RF Subsystem Interface (ISSI), Console Subsystem Interface (CSSI), Over the Air Programming (OTAP) and AES/DES Encryption.
Get more people connected with Tait UnifyVoice. This Push-To-Talk over Cellular (PTToC) solution provides operational and administrative staff with enhanced access to instant communication and information. It connects radio, cellular and WiFi networks so that users on any of these networks can talk to each other. Users can choose from a range of end-user devices and ensure they’re already familiar with their communication tool.
NSC has deployed a Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Network which serves the Puerto Rico market. Although the DMR technology is business oriented, NSC designed its network with the same toughness, redundancy, reliability, and resiliency as their P-25 Public Safety-Grade Network.
DMR is an open digital radio standard for land mobile radio (LMR) users specified in the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). The primary goal is to specify affordable digital systems with low complexity. DMR provides voice, data and other supplementary services.
